The Rye Baseball team celebrated senior night with a dramatic win on Saturday, May 2, defeating Mahopac 6-5. The Garnets honored their eight seniors before the game and then came from 5-2 down to win in exhilirating fashion.

Senior Jamie Morris got things going with a first-inning home run to right-center field. Senior Michael Talbott went 2-3 in the game, and senior Lucas London had two hits, an RBI, and the five-out save.

Luke Ontaneda drove in two runs, including the winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Michael Bubeck started and battled some defensive miscues to earn the win with 5.1 innings pitched and only one earned run allowed (five total).

Rye (12-5) has just three regular season games remaining, the first of which is against Eastchester on Tuesday, May 5. The home contest begins at 4:30pm.
