The Rye Boys Lacrosse team set a new season high with sixteen goals on Thursday, April 30, topping Scarsdale 16-6 on the road. The Garnets continue to shine after a rocky start to the year and seem to be peaking at just the right time.

“Another great team win where every player saw playing time,” Head Coach Jeremy Guski told MyRye.com. “The team is really starting to gel and play together.”

The same cohort of offensive stars made their impact against the Raiders, highlighted by a career day from Will Niejadlik. The sophomore scored five goals and added four asissts for nine points. Henry Shoemaker and Charlie Brady both scored hat tricks and Sam Scully made his presence felt with a beautiful coast-to-coast goal to give life to his bench.

Rye (8-3) has won seven straight games since their 1-2 start, and will seek to continue to build off that success later today, Saturday May 2, at 1:00pm. The contest is a road one on Long Island against Port Washington.

“We have to continue to stack great days and push each other,” Guski continued. “We have some tough games coming up and we look forward to them.”
