The Rye Girls Lacrosse team celebrated two things on Tuesday, May 12 – both an undefeated regular season in league play and a league championship, and autism accepance, in their 16-3 win over Ursuline. Both teams honored the cause before the game, but it was the Garnets who emerged on top after 48 minutes of play.

Rye dominated the game from start to finish, never trailing after building a 2-0 lead after two minutes of play and a 12-1 advantage at halftime. Annie Toulouse, Mary Ebeling, and Paige Tepedino all had four points, while Carolina Kmetz and Mia Howson added three apiece. All healthy players on the roster earned playing time in the league-clinching victory.

Rye (10-4) will be one of the favorites entering the postseason. Prior to that, they have two more games, with the next being later today, May 14, at home against Pleasantville. The contest begins with the first draw at 5:00pm. Watch it here. Replay the autism acceptance night win vs Ursuline here.
