The Rye Softball team earned their largest come-from-behind win of the season on Thursday, May 14, as they beat Nyack 8-5. The Garnets trailed by as much as four runs near the halfway point of the game but battled back for a clutch victory at home.

Penelope Gilmore earned a hard-fought win in the circle with five strikeouts and a complete game. She also recorded the game-winning RBIs via a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning. Her courtesy runner Caroline May scored later in the inning to give Rye a permanent three-run advantage.

Rye (6-12) is back in action in their home finale on Saturday, May 16. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00am against Clarkstown North.
