For 2026, MyRye.com is continuing its weekly Rye Playland Ride Watch, showing what rides are open and closed in Rye Playland. This information will be updated each week prior to the weekend based on available, self-reported information from Playland (1).
As of Thursday, August 6, 2026, County Park officials said the Himalaya ride in Kiddyland and the Sky Flyer ride in the main park have both been permanently removed. We have updated the accounting of rides that have been removed from the park since 2019. Please send us a message if you are aware of other updates now or in the future. Our current, refreshed accounting of rides at Playland now shows 38 active rides in the park.
On the afternoon of August 13, 2026 the park plans to open a new ride called Scorpios and we will incorporate this into future Ride Watch articles.
As of Thursday, August 6, 2026, five (5) rides or 13% of all rides are closed.
