The Rye Volleyball team ended a brief two-match losing skid on Tuesday, September 15, as they triumphed over Harrison in four sets. The Garnets won the first set with ease, 25-14, but had to battle through the next three (25-21, 23-25, 25-19) to secure the victory.
Four different Garnets reached double digit kills, with Audre Campbell leading the charge with 11 plus two blocks. Katie Hillis, Charlie Wing, and Giorgia Brizio all recorded ten apiece, as Rye flaunced their offensive depth.
Margo Ehrenberg and Amelie Modesto continued to lead the defense and passing games, with 32 digs and 37 assists respectively. Modesto also dug out 15 balls for a no-doubt double-double.
Rye’s service game also had a strong showing, allowing them to build scoring runs and maintain their rotations. Hillis racked up seven aces alone, and four other Garnets notched at least one.
