
The Rye Volleyball team continued their strong start to the season on Friday, September 4, as they overcame Valhalla in four sets, 3-1. The Garnets have now won their first two matches of the season while claiming six of seven sets, both of which have been road victories.
Both Audre Campbell and Katie Hillis reached double digits in digs, with 14 and 10 respectively. The duo also combined for eight service aces. Giorgia Brizio chipped in nicely as a secondary option with seven kills. Amelie Modesto and Margo Ehrenberg did their thing with 36 assists and 22 digs respectively in a total team effort.
Rye (2-0) will look to stay sharp over the Labor Day break before their next road contest on Tuesday, September 8. The Garnets travel to Ardsley for a 4:30pm start, their final away contest before their long-anticipated home opener two days later on September 10.
