The Rye Volleyball team suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday, September 8, as they fell to Ardsley in three sets, 23-25, 16-25, 20-25. The Garnets kept in close in a difficult road environment, but failed to cash in with a set victory against the rival Panthers.
Lexi Kessner played a strong game, coming up one kill shy of a double-double with 9 and 10 digs. Katie Hillis also finished with 9 kills and 18 digs as both offensive weapons defended well. Amelie Modesto and Margo Ehrenberg continued their strong starts to the campaign, while Caroline Korian came off the bench to record 4 kills, 3 service aces, and 7 digs.
