The Rye Girls Soccer team improved to 7-0-1 on the road on Thursday, October 1, as they defeated Eastchester 4-0. The Garnets scored all four of their goals in the second half to cap off a perfect three-game road trip.

“Blake Sasse made a couple of big saves while Julia Carballo anchored a strong Rye defense,” head coach Rich Savage told MyRye.com. “After a slow first half that ended 0-0, the Garnets came out on fire in the second half.”

Charlotte Keenan opened her account in the 46th minute and double dipped in the 50th. Harkin Brown drew a foul in the box and Hannah Jachman converted the penalty kick to extend the Rye lead to three before Keenan set up Brown for the final goal of the evening. Keenan, a Notre Dame commit, now has five goals, two assists, and 12 points in her past two contests.

Rye (7-0-2) takes a 33-game unbeaten streak into their next contest on Saturday, October 3, against Somers. Rye hosts the Tuskers in just their second home match of the season, which begins at 4:00pm.
