The Rye Volleyball team kept rolling down Mount Momentum on Thursday, October 15, as they swept Eastchester on senior night 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-17). The Garnets defended their home court in their 12th consecutive victory while extending their streak of sets won to a remarkable 21 straight.
Three different Garnets reached double figures in kills, highlighted by senior Giorgia Brizio with 12 on top of two aces and six digs. Audre Campbell and Charlie Wing also reached ten kills.
Star senior setter Amelie Modesto dished out 34 assists and came just one dig shy of a double-double. Senior Margo Ehrenberg dug out 10 balls and assisted on five points of her own. Senior Lexi Kessner produced a 9-5-5 kills-digs-aces line in a very strong serving performance.
Rye (14-2) hosts their next potential prey, Henry Hudson, at 4:30pm on Monday, October 19, at 4:30pm.
