Playland Beach Staying Open Two Extra Weekends

You will be able to feel sand in your toes two extra weekends this year.

For the first time, Playland Park in Rye will be open after Labor Day. The days and times are Sept. 12-13 and Sept. 19-20 and will follow their regular schedule of 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Rye guy and Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “This is a sign of us again trying to compensate for the difficulties we have had during the pandemic. We are proud of the work to get and keep these facilities open to help people cool off in the age of Covid.”

Playland Beach will also be open Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Monday, Sept. 7.
