Port Chester COVID-19 Virtual Summit, Thursday 10am
There will be a Port Chester COVID-19 Virtual Summit on Thursday at 10am. This seems to more than warrant attention for Rye, given Port Chester’s Orange Zone status, the fact a bit of Yellow Zone has crept into Rye (although some people seem to dismiss this as a errant map designer in Albany) and the fact the COVID situation overall is hitting warp speed again.
The Port Chester COVID-19 Virtual Summit has been organized by Senator Shelley Mayer, Assemblyman Steve Otis, Port Chester Mayor Fritz Falanka and County Legislator Nancy Barr. The focus of the meeting will be presentations made by New York State and Westchester County Department of Health officials who are bringing their expertise to help fight COVID-19 in Port Chester.
The summit will focus on getting critical public health information out to community members, not-for-profit leaders, clergy and school leaders. New York State and Westchester County Department of Health officials will discuss guidelines and provide access to resources to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
