Varsity Cross Country Climbs Bear Mountain

Rye Boys & Girls Varsity Cross Country climbed Bear Mountain on Saturday, competing in multiple races including invitationals with multiple schools participating.

“Overall both teams ran well,” said Rye Boys & Girls Varsity Cross Country Coach Blair Moynahan. “It was a beautiful day, the athletes showed up with a positive attitude and left it all out on the course. As coaches we couldn’t ask for anything more! We have a quick turn around with our first dual meet at home this Monday the 9/20.”

The Boys came in 7th in race C scored 203 pts. The girls came in 11th is race A scoring 215 pts. Senior Lucy Adelson came ready to race for the lady Garnets today, leading her team, taking 28th place overall. The boys were lead by senior Dom Cich. From the moment the gun went off Dom was in the zone. Dom came in 20th overall.

On 4:45pm Monday the team competes against Eastchester & Pelham at home.
