La Panetière To Close in October
La Panetière, the venerable French restaurant on 530 Milton Road at the intersection of Oakland Beach Avenue, will close in October. The restaurant has been in operation for 34 years.
Asked about the closing by LoHud.com, owner Jacques Loupiac, who is retiring, said “I think the best memory is that I’ve accomplished what I wanted to do with my life,” he said. “As a whole, I’m leaving with a dream in my head.”
The .67 acre property and 6,511 square foot building has been on the market for over two years, and now shows a list price of $2,695,000 and a pending transaction. Loupiac told LoHud.com a new restaurant is planned at the location.
