Allen, Morton 1935-2022 died on January 28, 2022 in Rye, New York.
Morton born in Providence, Rhode Island to Abraham and Bessie Allen, attended classical High School; MIT Sloan School; and Columbia University School of Engineering, specializing in Operations Research. At California Berkeley and Stanford, he participated in Executive Programs in Advanced Risk Management.
He was employed by General Electric; Citibank where he founded and managed its first credit portfolio risk management department, and served as principal liaison with Regulatory authorities; AMS where he was cofounder of the Risk Management Practice serving in assignments with financial institutions in Europe, UK, and Asia.
Morton is survived by his wife of fifty years Kathleen (Krish); three children from a prior marriage, Jodi Stern, David and Seth Allen; older sister Rachel Abrams, six grandchildren Reuben, Julian, Miles, Sophia, Sean, and Kimmy. Morton is predeceased by two older brothers, Morris and David Allen.
