Boys Varsity Baseball Bites the Huskies
Rye Boys Varsity Baseball bit the Huskies on Thursday, winning at home 1-0.
“Sophomore Shepherd Griffiths pitched a complete game – 1 hit shut out – against rival Harrison,” said Rye Boys Varsity Baseball Coach Michael Bruno. “Shep’s final line was 7 innings pitched – 1 Hit – 0 walks – 4KS. Senior Jake Quigley pitched a very strong game for Harrison. Giving up only 1 earned run on 3 hits. Captain Jack Margiloff hit a 1 out triple in the bottom of the 6th. He scored a pitch later on a double by first baseman Jackson Fowle. Great team defense highlighted by short stop Tyler Winderman.”
