Boys Varsity Football Traps Brewster Bears in Comeback Win

Maybe Dino Garr and his Garnets harvested the power of the full moon on Friday night. In an epic turnaround, Rye Boys Varsity Football trapped the Brewster Bears to come back from a 0-17 deficit at the half to win the game 34-30 in the final thirty seconds.

“(An) exciting comeback win 34-30 against Brewster Bears,” said Rye Boys Varsity Football Coach Dino Garr. “The players showed tremendous character and persistence to overcome a 17-0 lead (by Brewster) at halftime. Another tremendous team effort and the coaching staff is very proud.”

“I don’t care what you say, NO ONE can make second half adjustments like Coach Dino Garr,” said Katie Jenson, the head athletic trainer at Hackley School on social media.

“The Rye cheer team traveled up to Brewster for another Friday Night lights,” said Rye Girls Varsity Cheerleading Coach Melissa Stone. “For many of the members of the team, it was their first game of the season. The girls cheered their hearts and lungs out to another Garnet victory.”
