Girls Varsity Indoor Track Storms the Armory

Rye Girls Varsity Indoor Track stormed the Armory for a league meet on Wednesday, bringing home a variety of solid performances.

“Rye girls won the League 2B meet with 113 points,” said Rye Girls Varsity Indoor Track Coach Kevin Murphy. “Cate Doyle , Mackenzie Chimento, Megyn Coyne, Sophia Bubeck, Isabela Lulaj, Mali White, Claire Curren, Signe Oslborg are just some of the girls who had big performances to help us win the league. Between relays and individual events the Rye girls left it all on the track.”

Meet highlights included:

  • Mackenzie Chiemento won the girls 300
  • Mali White won the girls 600
  • Sophia Bubeck won the girls 55 Hurdles
  • Sophia Sciulli won the girls Racewalk
  • Signe Olsborg won girls triple jump
  • Girls 4×200 meter relay won 1st in the league as well

Next up is the Suffern Invitational on Friday, January 13th.
