Boys Varsity Hockey Marks Scarsdale

Rye Boys Varsity Hockey marked the Scarsdale Raiders on Saturday with a 4-3 win.

“Nathan Tietjen provided a spark for us tonight,” said Rye Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Peter Thomas. “He is always one of our hardest workers and he was rewarded for his work with two goals for us tonight.”

In addition to Tietjen’s two goals, Henry Bagley had a goal and Tommy Richardson scored the overtime winner with 43 seconds left. Ivan Vasyuta had 2 assists, Jackson Leahy and Jaxson Doornick also had an assist each. Brandon Morgan made 32 saves for the win.

The Garnets are 10-3 for the season. Varsity sees Fordam Prep on Wednesday at 7:45pm.
