Boys Varsity Swimming Places 8th in Divisional Meet

Rye-Rye Neck Boys Varsity Swimming and Diving placed 8th of 11 teams in the divisional championship on Saturday.

Meet highlights included:

  • Tripp Redd placed 4th in the 50 Freestyle and 7th in the 100 Freestyle.
  • Wilson Redd placed 6th in the 50 Free and 12th in the 100 Fly.
  • William Soviero placed 16th in the 200 Freestyle and 7th in the 500 Freestyle.
  • Bryan Laverty placed 12th in the 200 IM and 17th in the 100 breaststroke.
  • Jon Capaldi placed 25th in the 200 IM and 21st in the 100 breaststroke.
  • Cameron Park placed 36th in the 100 Freestyle and 24th in the 100 backstroke.
  • Finn Palermo placed 27th in the 200 Freestyle and 32nd in the 100 Freestyle.

  • Filip Glitterstam placed 16th in the 100 Fly and 14th in the 100 Breaststroke.
  • The 200 medley relay of Bryan Laverty, Filip Glitterstam, Wilson Redd, and Tripp Redd placed 9th.
  • The 200 Freestyle relay of Tripp Redd, Wilson Redd, Bryan Laverty, and Filip Glitterstam placed 6th.
  • The 400 Freestyle relay of Cameron Park, Will Soviero, Finn Palermo, and Jon Capaldi placed 9th.
  • Earlier in the week on Thursday, Finn Hansen placed 8th in the diving competition.

The team is 0-9. The next meet is scheduled for Monday, February 13th.
