Girls Varsity Lacrosse Harvests the Yorktown Huskers
Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse harvested the Yorktown Huskers on Saturday, winning away 12-8.
“The Garnets had a fantastic rebound win over Yorktown on the road Saturday!.” said Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach Michelle Mason. “We executed our defensive game plan and made great adjustments to the officiating. They had some long defensive stands and played with such grit and focus! Our draw team won some critical possessions in tight moments and our middies were reliable for the full 50 minutes with their ability to find the ball in transition, and execute on offense. Our attacking unit played with poise and discipline throughout the game, and were especially dialed in the second half once we grabbed our lead. Katherine Ebeling played in cage in the second half and was awesome, making critical saves and holding them to two goals in 25 minutes. Our JV team had a tight win as well! We are so proud of the team and our program!”
