MyRye.com features dogs and cats that are up for adoption by Pet Rescue, a no-kill pet shelter in Harrison.

Cooper
Status: Adoptable
Age: 4 Years
Breed: Soft Coated Wheaten
Gender: Male
Adult size: Small (35 lbs & under)
Weight: 33 lbs

Cooper is energetic, affectionate, and playful. He loves to cuddle and demands pets often. He enjoys running in a fenced-in yard and playing ball, and he loves to go on walks. Cooper gets very excited when he sees the leash and does the “wheaten greeting.” He is a great walker. He doesn’t pull on the leash when wearing the gentle leader harness and can go for several miles at a good pace. He is housebroken, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.

Cooper is at times mouthy, especially when he is excited. He wants to give you all his love and be your one and only 4 legged family member. Cooper is not a fan of other dogs, either at home or on a walk or hike. He is very loyal and will want to spend time with his family, so someone who works from home would suit him best. He is easily startled, is sensitive to deep, loud noises, and requires a gentle approach. Cooper’s forever family should be one that can work to give him more confidence on being home alone and can devote a significant amount of time towards exercising him. Cooper is looking for an adult home with lots of love and companionship that he will return twofold.
