Rye Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving fell shorty against Clarkstown but still managed to add qualifiers for the Section 1 championship meet. Clarkstown topped Rye 100 – 86.
“The Rye-Rye Neck-Blind Brook swim team did a great job racing against a very talented Clarkstown team,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving Coach Katie Konopka.
Four swimmers qualified for the Section 1 championship meet: Ayana Ite (200 Free), Kate Chesley ( 200 IM), Kayla Lombardo ( 100 Free), Sydney Goldberg (100 Breaststroke). The team is now 3 – 2. They swim next Thursday versus Fox Lane at 4:30pm.
