Girls Varsity Rugby Splits Two Games to Finish Season
Rye Girls Varsity Rugby finished its season on Wednesday by splitting two games. The Gemstones, celebrating senior night, defeated Greenwich 17-12 and lost to Horace Mann 12-17.
“We came back from a 0-10 deficit against Horace Mann to take the lead 12-10,” said Rye Girls Varsity Rugby Coach Geri Jones. “Sadly, Horace Mann had a run to score a try with seconds remaining in the match.”
