Bowman vs. Latimer Debate is Monday, 7:00pm
Westchester County Executive and Rye guy George Latimer will face sitting Congressman Jamaal Bowman in a League of Women Voters debate Monday evening at 7:00pm. The two will face off in the Democratic primary on Tuesday, June 25th. Early voting begins next Saturday, June 15th and the City of Rye has its own early voting center for the first time.
Bowman is part of the progressive wing of the Democratic party called The Squad that includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of NY-14, while Latimer is favored by moderates. The last Federal Elections Commission (FEC) reporting showed Latimer decisively ahead in the fundraising race. The final FEC deadline before the primary is this Thursday, June 13th.
To watch the debate online, you must register via Zoom. Moderated by the League of Women Voters of Westchester County, the debate is scheduled to run from 7:00pm – 8:30pm.
