George Baron

George Baron was born on August 3, 1929, to parents John and Amelia Baron. He was the youngest of four siblings: Helen, Marion, and John. He, his siblings, his parents, and his grandmother all lived at 1175 Boston Post Road.

Baron graduated from Rye High School in 1948, and his yearbook quote described him as having a “carburetor for a heart.” 

Soon after graduation, Baron enlisted in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. Following his discharge, he moved to Annapolis, Maryland, where he eventually passed away on February 8, 2018 at the age of 89. He was buried in the Maryland Veteran Cemetery. More on Baron.
