Independence Party Endores French for Mayor, Keith and Jovanovich for City Council
Not exactly the center of political power, but the Independence Party has endorsed three of the Republicans running in our local Rye election this November – French for Mayor and Keith and Jovanovich for city council. There is no mention of Tim Chittenden, a former Rye police officer who is also running on the Republican line.
Here is the official announcement:
WESTCHESTER INDEPENDENCE PARTY ENDORSES
FRENCH for RYE CITY MAYOR
JOVANOVICH AND KEITH for COUNCIL
The Westchester County Independence Party announced that it has endorsed Douglas French for Rye City Mayor along with Suzanna Keith and Peter Jovanovich for City Council in this year’s November election. "These are challenging times that require new thinking and vigorous leadership,” said Dr. Giulio A. Cavallo , Chairman of the Westchester Independence Party, “and those were the qualities we looked for in endorsing this year’s candidates.”
"Westchester families are hurting financially and our endorsement should send a clear message to independent-minded and non party-affiliated voters that this ticket has the right vision for the future by making fiscal matters its number one priority.” concluded Dr Cavallo.
Mayoral Candidate Douglas French, a business executive and community leader added, "We are honored and want to thank the Westchester Independence Party for their endorsement. This endorsement and what the Independence Party stands for validates the reasons why each of us decided to run – to focus on fiscal sustainability for Rye, to get our government moving forward again, and to deliver new leadership.”
Four seats are open on the Rye City Council in the November election to include the Mayor and 3 Council seats.
GO have a look at latest article in the Rye Record by Robin Jovanovich. Yup, it’s subject is Bob Schubert’s pond. How if Mr. Jovanovich going to keep the Rye’s gov’t focused on the important issues in Rye when he can’t even do that with his wife?
Bring in the National Guard. Secure the drywell and administer the dye test! According to this article:
https://www.ryerecord.com/html%20pages/homeschubert.htm
the Gates DO have rights but it seems like an annoyance to all the Bob Schubert supporters. I even got a whiff of annoyance from the way the above article was written. To hell with people’s rights, a pond’s future hangs in the balance! A fake one, I might add, but one that has turned this city upsidedown!
Rye Record coverage has been about average for this story. The Journal News, The Rye Sound Shore review and The New York Times have all dedicated space to it.
Channel 12 has done an interview and B-roll for a story but – given their curious Democratic Party ties – have not actually run anything at all. Maybe they’re waiting for the councel to do the right thing. No chance of that I’d say.
The Rye Record actually broke the Chantal bombshell and they did a good job with it. But Robin Jovanovitch is not baised either way on Schubert. Just look at her competitors and you’d know that.
Everyone is biased. Please stop with the BS. It’s impossible not to be. DId the Rye Record include Chantal’s backround when they broke the bombshell or didi they “forget” to include it? Just the fact RObin Jovanovich is devoting time to an issue that is, IMO, not important shows ME that her husband really doesn’t have a handle on Rye’s future.
This dialogue is starting to remind me of the RTA/BOE posts. All (very few) the RTA supporters tried their damnest to discredit the truth. In the end TRUTH PREVAILED!
LAND SLIDE WIN ACROSS THE BOARD FOR THE BOE!!!
Same for this subject… All (very few) the S.Otis supporters are trying their damnest to discredit the truth.
In the end TRUTH PREVAILS!!!
It will be a LANDSLIDE WIN ACROSS THE BOARD FOR THE NEW INCUMBENTS!!!
BYE,BYE, STEVE and the Gang!
NoDoubt,
EVERY issue facing Rye today revolves around personal responsibility.
this quote:
“Westchester families are hurting financially and our endorsement should send a clear message to independent-minded and non party-affiliated voters that this ticket has the right vision for the future by making fiscal matters its number one priority.” concluded Dr Cavallo.
Well then , why isn’t Robin Jovanovich writing about that instead of a stupid pond? Does her husband have any influence over what she writes about? As a candidate for Town Council you’d think he’d take personal responsibility and make sure she wrote about important issues. He doesn’t seem to have done anything of the sort.
Mr. Floatie is complaining he bought a cottage in a wetland with mosquitoes. How about personal responsibilty over that decision?
How about personal responsibilty for Shubert’s decision to build a pond?
How about personal responsibilty about where one lives in Rye?
NoDoubt, it’s pathetic.
Irresponsible,
Comments don’t get any more shallow than this… well almost don’t!
Last time I checked Robyn owned and controls Rye Record. Why should her Husband “tell” her what to write about??
Is that how your household works?
Hen Island is ONE BIG VIOLATION…
Personal Responsibility violations were in place long before Ray Tartaglione.
The Schubert’s are Personaly Responsible for creating a BEAUTIFUL Pond and giving to Charity!
The fourth one… I certainly hope this was your worst attempt at humor and nothing more! Are you suggesting a little boy lost his life because of where he was living in Rye???
So if your kid was visiting a friend in a neighborhood other than its own and was trying to cross a street and was struck and killed by a car you would blame the family because of the neighborhood they live in???
YOU NEED SERIOUS HELP!!!
I’M CALLING THE COUNTY HEALTH CRISIS TEAM TO HAVE YOU EVALUATED…WHAT IS YOUR ADDRESS?
FTR- TELL US WHERE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS CITY LIES???
STAY OFF THE CRACK DUDE!
