The Rye Varsity Field Hockey Team bounced back on Tuesday with their fourth win of the season, as they defeated the Nyack RedHawks 3-1 at Nugent Stadium. With the win, the Garnets remain undefeated at home on the year, and 4-1 overall.

Rye shook off their shutout loss to Horace Greeley in their last game and got back to winning ways against Nyack, another tough team, according to Assistant Coach Theresa Jelalian. “Rye girls continue to play hard,” Jelalian told MyRye.com after the game.

With the win, Rye moves up to 5th in the Lohud Section 1 rankings, ahead of other strong teams such as Fox Lane (6) and Yorktown (7). The Garnets (4-1) will look to make it a streak when they host Sleepy Hollow – Briarcliff on Thursday, September 20, at Nugent Stadium. The game is set for 6:30pm. Watch it here.
