Rye Volleyball Secures Drama-Free Win Against Riverside in Straight Sets

Rye Varsity Volleyball secured one of their easiest wins of the season on Tuesday evening, beating Riverside High School 25-3, 25-8, 25-12. Their straight sets win makes it three in a row for Geri Jones’ group, and brings their season record up to 6-3.

Ashley Dehmer and Lexi Kessner had 5 ace serves apiece in what was a dominat game from behind the service line. Dehmer had 15 assists, while Kessner chipped in with 5 assists. Rye was able to spread minutes out among their bench players in the sweep.

The Garnets (6-3) are back in action at Byram Hills on Thursday, September 26. Game time is scheduled for 4:30pm at the Bobcats’ home gymnasium. Watch their win vs. Riverside here.
