Rye Field Hockey Bounces Back with 3-0 Win Over Somers
The Rye Field Hockey Team bounced back on Friday evening, defending home turf and coming away with a solid 3-0 win over Somers High School. Rye did not let its losing streak reach two after falling in their previous contest.
“Everyone contributed to today’s win over an athletic Somers team,” Assistant Coach Theresa Jelalain said after the game. “Great team effort.”
The Garnets scored in the first quarter and added two more in the second quarter to pull away and defended well the rest of the way for the shutout.
Rye (6-2) is right back in action on Saturday, September 28, at Mamaroneck. The game is set to begin at 3:30pm against the Tigers. Watch it here. Watch their win against Somers.
