Meals On Main Street 5K & Fun Run is Sunday – Help Serve 1M Meals
One million meals.
That’s the food security need being addressed by Meals On Main Street (MOMS, fka Caritas), the local food assistance nonprofit in Port Chester. Last year, MOMS provided almost 800K meals, and their goal this year is 1,000,000 meals. A critical fundraising element for the group is its annual MOMS 5k and Family Fun Run this Sunday, October 20, 2024 in Port Chester. Last year the group raised $100K to fight food insecurity.
What you need to know:
- Sunday, October 20 at 8:30am; Race Check In and Finish Line at Colony Grill in Port Chester (Did you read: Eating Port Chester: Ken Martin of Colony Grill?)
- Port Chester 5k “City Route” will be traveling on the roads in and around downtown Port Chester – see the race course
- Untimed 1.5 mile family-friendly run & walk is a perfectly flat and stroller friendly
- Overall male & female 5K champions and top finishers will receive Colony Grill gift cards
- At the Finish Line, participants and community members will celebrate with music, food, raffles and a coupon for a free beer inside Colony Grill (21+ only)
- Live music will be performed by two local bands: The Narwhals and Scarlett Fever
