Swimming and Diving Celebrates Seniors; Qualifiers for Sections + States
The Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Swim and Dive Team celebrated its ten seniors at its Friday meet: Eleonore Delcourt, Charlotte Geary, Matilda Glitterstam, Rachel Horn, Ayana Ite, Kayla Lombardo, Sophia Lord, Emily Riley, Charlize Tavitian, and Megan Tiedemann.
Some performances shined through even with the team coming up short overall with 89 versus 95 for Fox Lane. Meet highlights:
- Grayson Findlay qualified for sectionals in the 100 Free.
- Kayla Lombardo qualified for sectionals in the 50 Free.
- The 200 Free relay of Kate Chesley, Ayana Ite, Grayson Findlay, and Kayla Lombardo qualified for the state championship.
Overall the Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Swim and Dive Team is 8 -2 for the season.
