Smooth Sailing for Garnets Boys Golf Against Horace Greeley

Rye Boys Golf took home a victory in their home opener on Wednesday, April 9th, outstroking Horace Greeley 202-226. The 24-shot separation was the largest spread in the young season for the Garnets in the team’s first match at home at Rye Golf Club.
“With temps in the 40s and challenging course conditions, the boys persevered and delivered solid scores,” Head Coach Pat Romano told MyRye.com after the victory.
Three individuals medaled, including two Garnets. Ryan Mascali and Ryker Kevorkian led the Garnets with scores of 38 each, which matched Ken Fernandez of the Quakers, who also earned a medal.
Rye (2-0-1) will look for their third win on April 22nd, as they have substantial time off before their next match against Blind Brook at Westchester Country Club.
