Michael J. Sinto grew up in Rye and lived at 134 Maple Avenue. He graduated from Rye High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War.

In addition to being a proud US Marine Corp Veteran, Mike was a 35-year employee of Harrison School District, where he was loved by many. He was married to his wife Marilyn for 62 years, with whom he had two sons and four grandchildren. A diehard Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburg Steeler fan, Mike was a thoughtful and valued member of the Rye community – known as the ‘Unofficial Mayor of Meadow Place.’ He passed away on the 2nd of January 2018.
