The #2 Rye Volleyball team advanced to the sectional semifinals with a 3-0 win over Walter Panas on Saturday, November 1, sending the Panthers home until 2026. Despite the sweep, the match was close, as Rye won their final two sets in overtime. The final scoreline read 25-17, 26-24, 28-26.
Audre Campbell and Phoebe Greto tied for the team lead with 13 kills apiece, with both also recording multiple blocks. Valeria Medina (13) and Emma Lunstead (11) both added double-digit dig totals, while Amelie Modesto notched 31 assists, good for more than 10.00 per set.
#2 Rye advances to host #3 Ardsley in the Section 1 Class A semifinals on Wednesday, November 5, at the RHS gym.
