The Rye Girls Golf team picked up their second loss of the 2026 season on Thursday, April 16, falling to Scarsdale 224-254. The Garnets entered the home match looking to upset the defending state champions, but the shocker was not to be.

The three strongest performances on the day for Rye included Elle Ridley with a 36, Anna Bancroft, who shot a 45, and Leila Kurbusi and her score of 47. 224 is far and away the lowest score any opponent has managed to rack up against the Garnets this season, and is a testament to the Raiders’ talent.

The Garnets drop to 4-2 after six matches, and finally have some time to breath after a busy week with the weekend off. They return to action on Monday, April 20, where they meet Byram Hills at Whippoorwill Country Club.
