Rye High School Class of 1976 Celebrates 50th Reunion

The Rye High School Class of 1976 held their 50th reunion on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, 2026. The ’76ers started the weekend at the Barley Beach House on Friday evening. On Saturday, the alumni were treated to a tour of the high school by Principal Andrew Hara. Many alums visited the Square House, took tours of their old neighborhoods and ate at their favorite spots around Rye.

Saturday evening culminated at the Manursing Island Club. Over 70 classmates enjoyed dinner, music from the late 60’s through the 70’s, and many conversations. Reunion attendees reported the weekend was a huge success with one report “there were tears, laughter, hugs and heartfelt thanks that we could all celebrate this milestone together. We will always be “The Spirit of 76”!”
