Never prior to 2013 had the Rye Garnets opposed the YORKTOWN HUSKERS on the gridiron. But in both the 2013 sectional Class A quarter-final and 2014 Section One Class A Final, the Huskers were siloed by Rye with the record over the Green and White now standing at 2-0-0 (1.000).
I guess one could say that rye harvested corn. In a season where the Garnets have the northern tier Tuskers (Somers) and Huskers (Yorktown) in two of the first three games, the Garnets look to go 3-0 as the first half of the regular season closes at Nugent. HUSK THE HUSKERS ! HUSK THE HUSKERS ! HUSK THE HUSKERS !
