We have a "CRIME ALERT" from the Rye PD:
The Rye Police Department is actively investigating two overnight entries of homes in the area of Oakland Beach Avenue near Milton Road. The incidents are believed to have occurred during the early morning hours of March 16th. Both entries were made through unlocked doors while the homeowners were sleeping. The proceeds of the thefts were a wallet and a cellular phone.
When retiring for the evening, the Rye Police Department urges residents to lock all doors and windows and set alarms.
