Playland Parkway overpass I-95 South

Rye PD pulled a "distraught" and "emotional" woman to safety after she had positioned herself to jump into oncoming traffic from the Rye Playland Parkway Interstate 95 overpass.

Here is the Rye PD statement:

"The City of Rye Police Department would like to recognize officers James Foti and Keith Parker for their quick thinking and decisive actions that saved the life of a distraught female.

On (Wednesday, September 19, 2018) at 1:48 am a 50 year old female stopped her vehicle on the Playland Parkway overpass over I-95 southbound. The emotional woman climbed the Jersey barricade and positioned herself to jump into oncoming traffic.
