RCSD Budget Vote and Board of Education Election Deadline Extended
Today, Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order that extended the deadline for school districts to receive school budget ballots. To be counted, he said the ballots can still be accepted by hand delivery or via the dropbox at Central Administration through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9. Ballots received by the school district by mail through Tuesday, June 16, by 5:00 p.m. will also be counted.
The ballot dropbox will remain in the vestibule at 555 Theodore Fremd Avenue, Suite B101 until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9; after that time, please mail in your ballots using the postal service. As per the executive order of Governor Cuomo, ballots delivered by hand after the June 9 deadline cannot be counted.
If you are a registered voter and you have not yet received a ballot and a prepaid return envelope by mail, please contact District Clerk Lauren McGowan at 914-967-6100, ext. 6291. Ballots can not legally be provided after 5:00 p.m. on June 9.
Please help us spread the word about the extension to friends and neighbors who do not receive the District’s communications. The RCSD will communicate the change through local online media outlets to attempt to reach the broader community. We appreciate your patience in having to adjust to so many last-minute changes from New York State.
