As much as she loved her adventures, Rye was home. Her family has been in Rye since 1890, and she happily lived her entire life in Rye. She married John Frederick MacAulay on November 12, 1955, and they were married for 45 years. Together they raised their five children. Marguerite was predeceased by her parents, her husband John and her older brother Sidney J. Frank Jr.

She is survived by her children: Mary Agnes (Michael) Malter, John (Mary Beth) MacAulay, Claire MacAulay, Michael (Grace) MacAulay and Elizabeth (Craig) DeLuca; her beautiful grandchildren: Meaghan (Brian) Serbin, Michael (Rachel) Malter, Elizabeth MacAulay, John Francis MacAulay, John Michael MacAulay, Monica DeLuca, Patrick MacAulay, Julia MacAulay and Jessica MacAulay; and her delightful great grandchildren: Michael and Connor Serbin.
