Rye Boys Varsity Lacrosse slid to Lakeland in a 12-10 loss Saturday.
“With 7:46 left in the 4th quarter, Caden Whaling scored a behind the back goal on the run to knot the score at 9-9,” said Rye Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach Steve Lennon. “Rye was previously down by 3 goals and scored 3 goals in 3 minutes to tie up the game.”
Owen Kovacs ended the game with five goals and one assist. Liam Hurley had two goals and two assists, Caden Whaling had two goals and one assist. Johnny Hartzell went 18/23 on faceoffs, and Jack Garnet had 12 saves. The season evens to 1-1.
