Rye Girls Varsity Softball was gloved by Ardsley Panthers in extra innings last Saturday, falling 2-1. It was the Panthers’ annual breast cancer game.
“It was a great, hard fought game,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “A battle to the last out. We fell one run short in extra innings, but they all played hard. I’m very proud of them.”
The season shifts to 6-1. Other game highlights included:

- Athena Hadjipanayis 1 for 3;
