There are new faces, new positions and old faces at new positions at the Rye City School District this fall. Here is a look at the new folks at Midland, Milton and Osborn Elementary Schools.
Midland School

Bianca McHale
Assistant Principal, Midland School
Ms. McHale comes to Midland School from P.S. 41, the Greenwich Village School, in Manhattan. At P.S. 41, she was responsible for providing support to the Special Education staff and families as the Special Education Lead Teacher, facilitating the Academic Intervention Team, collaborating with teachers to implement modifications and accommodations for grade-level lessons, conducting professional development for paraprofessionals in their support of classroom teachers, and serving as an active member of P.S. 41’s Building Response Team. She also provided professional development support and coaching to classroom teachers. Prior to serving as the Special Education Lead Teacher, Ms. McHale was a special education teacher in integrated co-teaching classes across multiple grade levels at P.S. 41.
At Midland, Ms. McHale will work to promote the academic and social emotional development of our students through multiple programs. She will lead professional development for faculty and staff, focusing on how to best meet the needs of all students across curricular areas. Ms. McHale’s expertise in intervention services, integrated co-teaching, and special education will help Midland School implement and design effective programming for students. She will be an integral part of the focused professional development partnership with the Haskins Lab in support of students with language-based learning needs.
Ms. McHale holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Seton Hall University, an M.S. in Early Childhood Special Education from Touro College, and an M.S. in Administration from New York University.
Teacher
Geena Donovan
Special Education Teacher
Geena Donovan is joining the District full time as a special education teacher having served as a remote classroom teacher at Midland School for the spring of 2021. She will be teaching 5th grade in an integrated co-taught classroom. Prior to coming to Rye, Ms. Donovan worked as a Teacher Aide at Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES and as a Teaching Assistant at the Mt. Kisco Child Care Center and at Los Niños Early Intervention Center in Valhalla. Ms. Donovan has a B.S. in Speech and Hearing, Communication Disorders and Sciences from CUNY Hunter College and an M.S. in Childhood Special and General Education from SUNY Cortland.
Milton School
Danielle Hulbert
Special Education Teacher
Ms. Hulbert is already a familiar face at Milton School, having served as a second-grade leave replacement special education teacher in an integrated co-taught classroom last year. Prior to working in Rye, she was a 6th grade special education teacher at Tuckahoe Middle School and taught special education at the Children’s Academy in Manhattan. She also worked as a leave replacement special education teacher in the Scarsdale Union Free and Tuckahoe School Districts. Ms. Hulbert has a B.S. in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from Iona College and an M.S. in Special Education from CUNY Hunter College.
Osborn School
Eileen O’Reilly
Special Education Teacher
Ms. O’Reilly is joining the RCSD as a full-time teacher, having served as a Special Education Teaching Assistant at Milton School last spring. Prior to working at Milton, she was a special education teacher at the Scarsdale Friends Nursery School, a Kindergarten co-teacher at the Waverly School and a Special Education Itinerant Teacher and Service Coordinator at the Programs for Little Learners, both in Eastchester. She began her teaching career as a Special Education Teacher at Birch Family Services – Riverdale Early Childhood Center in Bronx, N.Y. She has a B.A. in Psychology from Binghamton University and an M.S. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from the College of New Rochelle.
