Police Officer Angelina Cyr is retiring after twenty years of service with Rye PD.

“A big congratulations to PO Cyr on her well deserved retirement!,” the department posted online. “PO Cyr is retiring after 20 and a half years of dedicated service to the City of Rye. We wish her a happy and healthy retirement.”

A Rye High School grad, Cyr was a criminal justice intern clerk with the Westchester County Police Department 1994 and a City of Rye Auxiliary Police Officer from 1995 to 2000. She was hired by the City of Rye Police Department on January 8th, 2001 and graduated from the Westchester County Police Academy in May 2001. The rest, they say, is history.

Cyr is married with one daughter.

Cyr joins Lieutenant Scott Craig and Sergeant Michael Kenny who both recently retired.

  1. When my late mother was living with us, Angelina responded several times when she had to go to the hospital. We will never forget Angelina’s compassion, friendliness and professionalism when she assisted my frightened, elderly mom, and reassured her. My family sends their love, and we will all miss her. Good luck, and you deserve all good things!
