Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving sunk Ursuline it the teams first meet of the season. The team battened down the win 103-80.
“Lente Geelen, Senior from Rye, had a great first meet winning both of her individual events,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Kelly Johanson. “She swam the 50 free and 100 back and qualified for Sectionals in the 50 free.”
Eighth grader Mia Howson won diving in her first Varsity meet with a score of 151.50. Freshman Sophia Lord picked up a win in the 200 IM and was 2nd in the 500 free. Sophia also qualified for Sectionals in the 200 IM. The team also won all 3 relays-200 Medley, 200 Free, and 400 Free.
