Girls Varsity Girls Tennis causes pain to Suffern at home on Tuesday, winning 4-0.

“After Suffern forced a third set super tiebreaker the second doubles pairing of senior co-captain Morgan Delizia and junior Maren Wydra held on for the win 10-8,” said Girls Varsity Girls Tennis Coach Anthony Campbell. “That sealed the victory giving Rye their fourth win on the day and a 4-0 lead on a night when the other matches would all be called because of darkness.”

Senior co-captains Charlotte Ausfahl and Juliette Stone won their singles matches in convincing fashion to lead the charge. The freshmen #1 doubles pair of Sasha Sherman and Alexandra Ausfahl also won their second straight match.

The team’s record bumps to 2-0. They play 4:30pm Wednesday at Eastchester.
