Boys Varsity Soccer Aced by Eastchester
Rye Boys Varsity Soccer was aced by Eastchester on Wednesday, falling 0-1.
“Eastchester scored in the 5th minute off and had the better of play throughout the first half,” said Rye Boys Varsity Soccer Coach Jared Small. “We played great attacking soccer and showed a positive spirit throughout the second half, but unfortunately we did everything right other than score a goal.”
Max van der Voort’s volley off of a throw in nearly provided the equalizer in the 60th minute. Devan Patel, Zach Levitt, Tommy Dore, and Henry Field all contributed to some golden opportunities in the second half but ultimately the back of the net proved elusive.
