The Rye City School District is in need of some community volunteers for three of its committees: Audit, Facilities, and Technology. Audit needs one and the other two need 2-3.
Audit: Audit Committee assists and advises the Board of Education on issues relating to the District’s external and internal audit functions. Specifically, the committee is charged with meeting with auditors, recommending internal and external audit plans to the Board, receiving and reviewing audit reports, and receiving and reviewing the management response to each audit report. Facilities: The Facilities Committee meets to discuss building and physical plant conditions throughout the District, identifying health and safety issues and physical design that enhances student learning as top priorities. The committee is comprised of administrators, the Director of Facilities, community members, and members of the Board of Education. Learn more.
